"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30 (NIV)

ABOUT
Linette understands mental health and relationship challenges at a personal level. Not only has Linette gone through education and training to become a counsellor, she has walked through the depths of darkness and despair and is living proof that healing and wholeness is possible. Linette will hold onto the hope for you, that others held for her in her deepest time of need. Linette is truly honoured for the opportunity to help guide you through the muck and into new life on the other side.
Where do you want to go in life? Not sure? Let's find out what is important to you, help you get reconnected to that, and start discovering meaning and purpose in your life!
Mission: At Unburdened Counselling, it is Linette's mission to create a safe space for people to come as they are, be heard, and receive personalized support and care. Together, you and Linette will discover what is important to you and learn how to work through the barriers that are getting in the way of you living the life you want.
Values: Linette values building a trusting and transparent therapeutic relationship with clients. This helps you and her work collaboratively towards your counselling goals. Linette takes a non-judgmental, person-centered approach; and listens with curiosity and compassion. Credentials and Insurance Coverage

I completed my Masters in Counselling Degree in 2020 and have been practicing in the mental health field since graduation.

More and more benefit plans are accepting the Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) qualification and are providing coverage through health benefit plans. I have recently received access to software that allows me to check if your benefit plan covers C.C.C. services. If your insurance company denies coverage, I am happy to send a personalized letter requesting coverage.
Note: I am not direct billing to benefit plans at this time (hopefully this will be coming soon). You will be given a receipt to submit to your benefit plan for reimbursement.
